Job Title: Materials Designer
Location: Beaverton, OR (On-site)
Job Summary: We seek creative and driven professionals to join our team designing next-generation materials for iconic lifestyle footwear models. Our team is dedicated to elevating the consumer experience through material innovation and strong narrative storytelling, ensuring every project reflects both modern style and technical excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Design new materials using current techniques, curating and elevating existing materials for refresh and collection projects.
- Work closely with creative directors, design leadership, and cross-functional teams to execute seasonal creative direction through material design and innovation.
- Develop inspiration presentations, mood boards, and concept prototypes to inform design direction and decision-making processes.
- Collaborate with manufacturing partners to resolve technical issues and ensure material quality from ideation to final product execution.
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Textiles, Materials, Apparel, relevant design field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 3+ years of design experience in material, textile, or footwear design with proven ability to push creative boundaries.
- Strong taste level with an understanding of consumer trends and tactile materials, as well as a robust portfolio showcasing design process and end results.
- Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign and experience creating mockups, building 3D samples, and participating in multi-seasonal projects.
