Job Title: Materials Designer
Location: Beaverton, OR (On-site)
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced leader to drive innovation and creative excellence in color and materials design within a dynamic team environment. Our team is passionate about pushing the boundaries of narrative-driven design, influencing products that inspire deep connections with consumers and the broader community.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of color and materials designers, guiding creative processes and fostering innovative concept development.
- Drive product excellence by collaborating cross-functionally with development, marketing, and manufacturing partners.
- Translate consumer trends, research, and insights into compelling design narratives and deliverables.
- Present design concepts effectively to internal and external audiences, clearly communicating vision and setting expectations for deliverables.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in design or equivalent experience, education, or training.
- Minimum 5 years of progressively technically challenging design experience; color and materials experience preferred.
- Direct people management experience, with demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a team.
- Expertise in color trends, strategy, achievability, and material placement and performance; strong visual and verbal presentation skills.
