Job Title: Machine Programmer
Location: Huntsville, Alabama (On-site)
Job Summary: We are seeking committed technical professionals to support the development and modification of NC programs for advanced machining equipment. Our team values precision, diligence, and collaboration to enable successful production of high-tolerance, high-value parts crucial for mission-critical applications.
Responsibilities:
- Create NC programs for CNC mills, lathes, multi-axis mills, multi-axis lathes, and vertical turning lathes that meet engineering requirements.
- Develop machining strategies to convert design data into machined hardware and manage setup sheets throughout the process.
- Collaborate seamlessly with engineers, manufacturing engineers, and machinists, including designing custom tools and fixtures when necessary.
- Drive process improvements across machining operations and administrative workflows, ensuring configuration control and product acceptance.
Required:
- Minimum of 4 years' NC programming experience utilizing Siemens NX/Unigraphics and Vericut or equivalent program verification software.
- Strong blueprint reading skills, including GD&T per ASME Y14.5M-1994, with experience in tool and fixture design.
- Proven setup sheet creation, management, cutter selection, and custom cutter design, along with feed and speed calculations.
- Hands-on experience machining Inconel, stainless steel, and aluminum alloys, and familiarity with DFMA principles.
