Job Title: API Engineer
Location: Strongsville, Ohio (On-site)
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team in a critical infrastructure capacity dedicated to data power and API management initiatives. Our team plays an essential role in leading technology migrations and supporting secure data integrations across multiple business lines.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and integration of complex, emerging technologies by selecting, configuring, and maintaining appropriate platforms.
- Drive the migration of API management solutions, focusing on moving infrastructure from Apigee to API Connect, in line with established strategies and standards.
- Troubleshoot integration issues, resolve technical defects, and perform continuous improvements to enhance efficiency, productivity, and data quality metrics.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to draft, update, and implement policies, best practices, and technical documentation while supporting continuous delivery pipelines.
Required:
- Demonstrated, hands-on experience configuring and managing Apigee Edge, including Management/UI servers, Message Processor/Router nodes, Cassandra/Zookeeper rings, and Postgres analytic databases.
- Expertise administering DataPower Gateway, IBM API Connect (Analytics, Management, DevPortal), and DevOps & CI/CD toolchains (BitBucket, Jenkins, Ansible).
- Familiarity with LDAP, Active Directory (AD), PING, SysLog, Jenkins, XML Spy, and SOAPUI.
- Proven track record of self-driven project management, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
