Job Title: Electrical Engineer (General)
Location: Houston, Texas (On-site)
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced professional to provide dedicated on-site electrical construction support for a large industrial project. Our team values hands-on expertise to ensure project execution, field integration, and compliance with the National Electrical Code within a complex construction environment.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the on-site electrical representative to support construction management, oversee installation activities, and verify compliance with IFC drawings, vendor documentation, and project standards.
- Manage RFIs, technical clarifications, and field data collection, ensuring that contractors adhere to approved processes and providing resolution for electrical field questions.
- Support the integration and installation of power generation and EMD-related electrical scope, including cable tray routing, terminations, and coordination with vendors and construction teams.
- Maintain accurate redlines/as-builts, support the preparation of turnover and test documentation, and contribute to schedule awareness by identifying constraints and change orders affecting electrical scope.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and hands-on electrical construction experience.
- Strong field experience supporting electrical construction in industrial or energy facilities, with demonstrated experience on EMD or large rotating equipment installations.
- Experience with on-site power generation or temporary power systems, and practical knowledge of NEC requirements for construction environments.
- Proven ability to manage RFIs, redlines, punch lists, and turnover documentation, along with the capacity to work full-time on-site and communicate effectively with project teams.
