Job Title: Engineer – System Safety
Location: North Hollywood, California (On-Site)
Job Summary: We are partnering with a fast-paced facility environment seeking a safety-minded professional to support site EHS programs, hazard controls, and operational readiness. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being hands-on, working across engineering, facilities, and EHS teams to strengthen safe work practices and drive corrective actions to closure.
Responsibilities:
- Support the implementation and maintenance of site EHS programs, including inspections, walkthroughs, training support, documentation, and corrective action tracking.
- Assist with hazard assessments, job hazard analyses, risk assessments, safe work procedures, and safety input for equipment, facility, and operational changes.
- Contribute to incident, near-miss, spill, and injury investigations, including root cause analysis and follow-up on corrective and preventive actions.
- Support environmental and facility safety activities such as waste management, SDS records, chemical inventory, contractor safety, and emergency readiness tasks.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental health and safety, occupational safety, industrial hygiene, environmental science, engineering, or a closely related field.
- Approximately 5–6 years of hands-on EHS experience in a manufacturing, aerospace, industrial, warehouse, laboratory, R&D, test, or facilities environment.
- Direct working experience with Cal/OSHA regulations and hands-on experience implementing or maintaining Cal/OSHA general industry programs at a California facility.
- Experience conducting safety inspections, hazard assessments, incident investigations, and corrective action follow-up, along with strong documentation, organization, communication, and follow-up skills.
- Ability to walk the facility regularly, stand for extended periods, climb stairs, access production/warehouse/test/lab/facility areas, occasionally lift or carry up to 50 pounds, and wear required PPE.
