Job Title: Door Systems and Access Control Specialist
Location: Devens, Massachusetts (On-Site)
Job Summary: We are recruiting for a hands-on opportunity that supports a large pharmaceutical manufacturing campus with a strong focus on door systems, access control, and general facility maintenance. Our team is looking for someone who can troubleshoot, maintain, and repair a wide range of door-related equipment while contributing to safe, reliable day-to-day operations across the site.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair a variety of door systems, including dock equipment, exterior gates, automatic doors, commercial doors, rolling doors, and related hardware.
- Install, configure, and maintain access control components such as proximity sensors, mag locks, electric strikes, latches, and key access devices.
- Support preventive maintenance, testing, and repairs in line with the site’s maintenance schedule and clean door procedures.
- Assist with general facility maintenance tasks, including minor plumbing, lighting repairs, patching and painting, furniture moves, and other assigned work.
Required:
- High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to analyze door and gate systems, identify the cause of malfunctions, and take corrective action.
- Working knowledge of computer applications including Gmail, Google Docs, Word, and Excel.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, maintain regular attendance and punctuality, and work overtime or call-in shifts as needed.
- Willingness to work in a multi-skilled team environment and perform other duties as required.
- Familiarity with door brands such as Stanley, Dormakaba, Tormax, Chase, ASI, Schlage, or similar brands.
- Knowledge of GMP procedures is helpful, and previous work experience in a lab or manufacturing environment is desired.
- AAADM certification for automatic door installation, inspection, and maintenance is preferred.
