Job Title: Patient Support Specialist – NJ
Location: Whippany, New Jersey (On-Site)
Job Summary: We are seeking a Patient Support Specialist to deliver high-touch support that helps patients access prescription medications with care, clarity, and confidence. Our team is representing this company on a role focused on patient experience, reimbursement support, and coordinated service across patients, physicians, and pharmacies.
Responsibilities:
- Respond to inbound and outbound calls and claims from patients, physicians, and pharmacies.
- Support access-to-care and reimbursement needs while delivering a concierge-style patient experience.
- Escalate requests when needed and collaborate with internal teams to help resolve issues.
- Assist with administrative tasks, including mail sorting and claims processing, as needed.
Required:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 1+ years of health care or case management experience in a high-volume contact center environment or similar environment preferred.
- Experience working in pharmacy benefits, health care insurance, and/or medical billing preferred.
- Knowledge of call center operating metrics and performance management, pharmacy benefits, health care insurance, and medical billing is a plus.
- Experience with a third-party system such as SelectRx, Pro-Care, or FSV is a plus.
- Experience with call center software such as Five9, In-Contact, or similar is a plus.
- Fluent English/Spanish language skills are a plus.
