Job Title: Data Engineer
Location: Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (On-Site)
Job Summary: We are supporting a contract opportunity for a Data Engineer focused on data solutions that help drive costing and profitability initiatives. We are looking for a proactive professional who can collaborate with finance stakeholders, design efficient data pipelines, and contribute to reliable, high-quality data delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze requirements with users, product owners, and management, then recommend solutions based on scope and complexity.
- Design, develop, test, and document data solutions that support costing and profitability initiatives.
- Build and optimize ETL processes and large-scale data transformations using advanced SQL and PL/SQL.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and technical specification development while collaborating closely with finance and business stakeholders.
Required:
- 4-6 years of experience in data engineering and ETL development.
- Strong experience with Informatica, including PowerCenter and/or Informatica Cloud/IICS.
- Advanced SQL and PL/SQL skills with experience handling large-scale data transformations.
- Experience with data warehousing platforms such as SQL Server, Oracle, or Teradata.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development environments and strong collaboration and communication skills.
- Must be open to converting to a full-time employee if a need becomes available.
