Job Title: Java Developer
Location: Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (Hybrid)
Job Summary: We are supporting a contract opportunity for a Java Developer focused on maintaining and improving business-critical digital banking applications. Our team is seeking someone who can help strengthen stability, support production needs, and contribute to ongoing microservices development within an agile environment.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain microapps, backend services, and digital online banking functionality.
- Provide application maintenance, production support, root-cause analysis, and performance tuning.
- Support stability engineering efforts, defect triage, incident management, and compliance-related application health work.
- Collaborate in an agile team environment, contributing to backlog refinement, sprint planning, and two-week sprint execution.
Required:
- Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, React/UI, and microservices.
- Experience supporting application maintenance, production support, root-cause analysis, and performance tuning.
- Background in API development combined with Agile/Scrum practices, including backlog work, sprint planning, and PI execution.
- Ability to handle incident management, defect triage, stability engineering, and vulnerability or maintenance work alongside feature delivery.
- Bachelor degree with work experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
