Job Title: Device Engineer
Location: Thousand Oaks, California (On-Site)

Job Summary: We are representing a company seeking a Device Engineer to support lifecycle management, design verification, and issue resolution for electromechanical combination products. Our team is looking for someone who can partner across functions, contribute to product reliability, and help drive compliant technical documentation and testing activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide ongoing lifecycle management support for electromechanical combination products, including post-market activities, design improvements, and cross-functional issue resolution.
  • Lead complaint investigations by performing failure analysis, identifying root causes, and developing action plans with quality, manufacturing, regulatory, and supplier partners.
  • Drive quality system processes such as CAPAs, deviations, and change controls, while supporting change assessments and compliance documentation.
  • Support cross-functional design reviews, verification activities, on-site testing, protocol execution, traceability reviews, and technical reporting in alignment with design control expectations.

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of experience, master’s degree and 2 years of experience, associate degree and 8 years of experience, or high school diploma/GED and 10 years of experience.
  • Experience in a highly regulated environment, with strong preference for medical device, biopharma, and/or combination product experience.
  • Experience with electromechanical systems, injection devices, medical devices, or delivery platforms.
  • Experience with lifecycle management, root cause analysis, data analysis, protocol and report generation, and design control activities.
  • Working proficiency in Minitab; Smartsheets proficiency is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently, communicate technical results clearly, and manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment.
