Job Title: Mission Critical Facilities Operator
Location: Jackson, Mississippi (On-Site)
Job Summary: We are seeking a Mission Critical Facilities Operator to support the reliable operation of essential building infrastructure in a data center environment. Our team is recruiting for a role that helps maintain continuous uptime by monitoring systems, performing maintenance, and responding to operational needs across electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and life safety systems.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain electrical, mechanical, and building infrastructure to support continuous site uptime.
- Monitor equipment, perform rounds, analyze data, and help ensure proper system performance.
- Perform installation, repair, and maintenance activities for building infrastructure systems, excluding major OEM tear-down maintenance.
- Oversee vendors and contractors during preventative maintenance and repairs while following critical environment procedures and protocols.
Required:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent, or technical training/degree.
- At least 5 years of related work experience in a technical, electrical, and/or mechanical field is desired.
- Ability to understand and interpret design and construction documents related to critical sites, spaces, and systems.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and software such as MS Office and email, plus strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to operate, troubleshoot, self-perform repair and maintenance for building infrastructure systems, including electrical, mechanical, fire/life safety, environmental controls, construction, and digital systems.
- Valid state driver’s license and reliable transportation required; candidate must also be able to meet the physical demands of the site-based role, including lifting up to 80 lbs and working at heights.
