Job Title: Water Treatment Plant Operator
Location: Annandale, New Jersey (On-Site)
Job Summary: We are seeking a Water Treatment Plant Operator to support safe, efficient, and reliable plant operations within a team-oriented environment. Our team is representing this opportunity for a company that values professionalism, attention to detail, and strong compliance practices across daily operations, maintenance, and safety activities.
Responsibilities:
- Operate, monitor, and maintain water treatment plant equipment while supporting safe and efficient day-to-day operations.
- Maintain daily logs of operations, maintenance, safety activities, test results, instrument readings, and equipment issues.
- Identify safety hazards, support remediation efforts, and help ensure compliance with regulatory laws, guidelines, and documentation requirements.
- Support training, contractor oversight, inventory checks, purchase order requests, and other operational tasks needed to keep the facility running effectively.
Required:
- Must hold a minimum N-1 License issued by the State of New Jersey, Department of Labor and Industry.
- Must be a high school graduate or possess a high school equivalence certificate.
- Must be able to work shifts, including a rotating schedule with nights, weekends, and holidays, and cover additional shifts as needed.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs., climb ladders/scaffolding, bend and twist the body, and stand for long periods of time.
