Job Title: Senior IT Project Manager – Utility
Location: Rosemead, California (Hybrid)
Job Summary: We are supporting a high-impact IT leadership opportunity for a technically grounded project professional who can drive complex delivery across planning, execution, monitoring, and closure. Our team is seeking a candidate who can coordinate stakeholders, manage financial and resource planning, and keep solution design, scope, and delivery tightly aligned in a fast-moving environment.
Responsibilities:
- Lead all phases of the project lifecycle, including pre-planning, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure for a major Advanced Metering Infrastructure initiative.
- Develop and maintain resource plans, technical scope alignment, and effort and cost estimates across integration, data, infrastructure, and testing workstreams.
- Support solution blueprinting, business process mapping, requirements clarification, and planning activities to align design, schedule, and budget with delivery needs.
- Track financial performance, manage scope changes, coordinate cross-functional teams, and maintain documentation for audit, compliance, risks, and milestones.
Required:
- 3+ years of large-scale IT program or project management experience in utilities or regulated industries.
- Experience with AMI, smart grid, or large electric utility technology and infrastructure projects, with AMI 1.0 or 2.0 preferred and at least some AMI 1.0 exposure required.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Strong background in IT infrastructure, solution blueprinting, implementation planning, resource planning, risk management, and cross-functional leadership.
- Ability to support day-to-day PM deliverables, adapt quickly in a fast-paced program, and communicate technical information to both business and technical audiences.
- Experience in vendor management, procurement, contract negotiations, and financial compliance is preferred, along with PMP certification.
