Job Title: Project Manager – Substation Programs
Location: Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois (Hybrid)

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to support Substation Programs in a project management capacity. The ideal candidate will have strong experience managing projects, contracts, scope, schedules, and budgets/financial forecasts. This role requires an individual who can independently manage project responsibilities and demonstrate strong financial acumen, organizational skills, and project execution capabilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage project activities from planning through execution, ensuring project objectives and deliverables are effectively managed.
  • Manage and coordinate project scope, schedule, and budget/financial forecasts.
  • Monitor project progress against established schedules, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Support financial management and demonstrate strong financial acumen in project-related activities.
  • Manage and administer project-related contracts, including monitoring contractual requirements and obligations.
  • Identify and address project issues that may impact scope, schedule, budget, or overall project execution.
  • Coordinate project activities and maintain alignment across project requirements and deliverables.
  • Provide project status information and communicate project progress, financial considerations, schedules, and key issues as needed.
  • Independently manage assigned project responsibilities and priorities.

Must Have:

  • 5+ years of project management experience.
  • Strong project management experience with responsibility for managing project activities and deliverables.
  • Strong contract management experience.
  • Experience managing project scope and schedules.
  • Experience with project budgeting and/or financial forecasting.
  • Strong financial acumen and understanding of project financial management.
  • Ability to work independently and manage assigned project responsibilities.
  • Strong project organization, coordination, and communication skills.

Preferred / Nice to Have:

  • PMP certification is preferred.
  • Experience managing scope, schedule, and budgeting/forecast projects.
  • Substation project experience.
  • Electrical industry/project experience.
  • Experience supporting or managing substation programs.
