Job Title: Engineer
Location: Thousand Oaks, California (On-Site)
Job Summary: We are seeking an Engineer to support packaging engineering activities within a fast-paced GMP environment. Our team is looking for someone who can help drive testing, technical evaluations, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration to support the design, validation, qualification, and implementation of primary and secondary packaging components.
Responsibilities:
- Support testing and evaluation activities that inform the recommendation and selection of primary and secondary packaging materials.
- Write and execute test protocols, perform technical evaluations, and prepare reports used to justify selected materials and packaging components.
- Develop technical specifications, create engineering drawings, and produce artwork templates for packaging-related work.
- Support line trials, packaging validation, and collaboration with Quality, Device Engineering, Supply Chain, Artwork, Manufacturing, and Regulatory teams.
Required:
- Master’s degree, or Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of engineering or scientific experience.
- Experience with packaging engineering, materials and testing processes, and primary and secondary packaging systems.
- Familiarity with Change Controls / Change Orders to support lifecycle management, technical transfer, engineering studies, or other GMP-documented engineering activities.
- Knowledge of material testing standards and proficiency with AutoCAD, Illustrator, or similar CAD software to create, modify, and approve engineering drawings.
