Job Title: Data Center Engineer
Location: Sandston, Virginia (On-Site)
Job Summary: We are recruiting for a Data Center Engineer opportunity supporting critical infrastructure operations within a collaborative, detail-oriented environment. Our client is seeking someone who can help coordinate daytime activity, support nighttime efforts, and contribute to safe, accurate physical data center work.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and perform physical data center operations, including rack and stack activities and structured copper and fiber cabling installation.
- Support hardware break-fix work and asset management tasks with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Work within formal change, incident, and access management processes while helping maintain operational standards.
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams, vendors, and remote hands to complete work safely and communicate progress clearly.
Required:
- Direct experience with physical data center operations, including rack and stack and structured copper and fiber cabling.
- Experience with hardware break-fix and asset management.
- Solid understanding of power, cooling, and physical security controls.
- Experience working within formal change, incident, and access management processes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work onsite in Sandston, Virginia on a Tuesday through Saturday schedule, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM EST.
