Job Title: Senior Cost Manager
Location: New York, New York (Hybrid)
Job Summary: We are recruiting for an opportunity to support complex projects through every stage, helping deliver accurate cost control, estimating, and project insights that guide informed decisions. Our team is looking for a professional who can combine strong analytical capability with clear communication to help keep budgets, risks, and scope aligned across active assignments.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed construction cost and project cost estimates from conceptual design through final construction documents.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to establish and track project budgets, cost control reports, and actual-versus-estimated spend.
- Review scope, change orders, bid analysis, and contractor and subcontractor reconciliations to support informed project decisions.
- Assess risks, provide value engineering and design option reviews, and share timely project status updates with key stakeholders.
Required:
- 5 to 10 years of experience as an Estimator, Cost Manager, or in a similar role.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution; preference for Quantity Surveying, Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management.
- Strong working knowledge of architectural drawings and planning concepts, with the ability to regularly communicate analyzed data to clients and team members.
- Highly organized, analytically strong, and able to work collaboratively, independently, and through ambiguity to create structure and consensus.
- Ability to lead teams and interact effectively with executive-level external and internal clients, as well as architects, contractors, and client representatives.
- Ability to generate AACE level 1 to 5 cost evaluations and familiarity with estimating software and benchmarking tools; knowledge of Cost-X, On-Screen Takeoff, or similar tools is preferred.
