Job Title: Senior Cost Manager
Location: Poughkeepsie, New York (Hybrid)
Job Summary: We are recruiting for a Senior Cost Manager opportunity that plays a key part in delivering cost management and project controls support across a range of project types. Our team is seeking a candidate who can develop accurate estimates, communicate clearly with stakeholders, and help keep projects aligned with budget, scope, and schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates from conceptual design through final construction documents.
- Review scope of work, identify gaps, and ensure all project costs are captured accurately.
- Support budget tracking, cost control reporting, change order evaluation, and forecasting activities.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, contractors, and project teams to provide updates, analyze pricing, and support value engineering and bid review efforts.
Required:
- 5 to 10 years of experience as an Estimator, Cost Manager, or in a similar role.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, preferably in Quantity Surveying, Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management.
- Strong working knowledge of architectural drawings and planning concepts, with the ability to work conceptually and qualify unknowns.
- Experience with estimating software and benchmarking tools, along with the ability to generate AACE level 1-5 cost evaluations.
- Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact with executive-level clients and work independently through ambiguity.
- Ability to lead teams and interact with clients; intermediate to expert level in Excel, Project, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Smartsheet is preferred.
