Job Title: LabVIEW Test Engineer
Location: Austin, Texas (On-Site)
Job Summary: We are partnering with a leading engineering environment to present an exciting opportunity for a technical professional who thrives in custom test systems and cross-functional collaboration. Our team is seeking someone who can help develop, document, deploy, and sustain tailored software solutions that support complex customer requirements and high-impact engineering programs.
Responsibilities:
- Develop instrument drivers, test sequences, and applications for custom test solutions using LabVIEW and TestStand.
- Work closely with customers, sales personnel, engineering teams, alliance partners, and contract manufacturers to define, document, design, deploy, and sustain tailored solutions.
- Support system test planning, milestone management, and review activities to help ensure requirements and deployment readiness are met.
- Verify developed tests, provide documentation, and support handoff of software test applications to customer engineering teams.
Required:
- Ability to work on ITAR projects and qualify for DoD clearances.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or another engineering discipline from an accredited institution.
- Minimum 5 years of experience developing test software using LabVIEW and TestStand.
- Experience developing automated test software using PXI chassis and interfacing with analog I/O cards, digital I/O cards, DMMs, oscilloscopes, switching and signal routing systems, data acquisition devices, power supplies, RF analyzers, or RF power sensors.
- Knowledge of hardware interfaces such as GPIB, USB, Ethernet, and serial communication protocols.
- Understanding of high-level programming languages, including LabVIEW, TestStand, C/C++, C#, or Python.
