Job Title: Senior Platform Engineer
Location: Kansas City, Missouri (On-Site)
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly capable platform engineering professional to help shape the systems, automation, and developer experience that keep modern delivery moving fast and safely. Our team is partnering with this company to find someone who can lead strategic platform improvements, strengthen reliability practices, and elevate how engineering teams build and deploy at scale.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and delivery of platform capabilities that improve developer experience across the organization.
- Own complex automation initiatives and create self-service capabilities for infrastructure and application delivery.
- Drive DevOps practices and culture, including improvements to deployment frequency, failure rate, MTTR, and lead time.
- Define standards, reusable components, SLO/SLI frameworks, and observability practices while mentoring engineers and supporting incident response and post-mortems.
Required:
- Experience leading complex platform and automation work streams in ambiguous environments.
- Ability to architect self-service capabilities around infrastructure and application delivery.
- Strong background in developing, reviewing, and deploying well-crafted code to provision infrastructure and deploy applications at scale.
- Experience evaluating, selecting, and owning CI/CD toolchains and driving adoption of new tooling and practices.
- Ability to define and own SLO and SLI frameworks for platform and application health.
- Experience leading incident response, conducting blameless post-mortems, and driving systemic improvements to observability and reliability.
- Must be legally authorized to work permanently in the country where this position is located, without time limitations, restrictions, or sponsorship needs.
