Job Title: Material Planner
Location: Aiken, South Carolina (On-Site)
Job Summary: We are looking for a highly analytical planning professional to help translate customer demand into an executable production plan that supports material availability, capacity, and customer delivery performance. Our team is seeking someone who can keep schedules moving, manage planning exceptions, and partner across functions to reduce risk and improve flow.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and communicate the Master Production Schedule in alignment with demand, backlog, forecasts, inventory objectives, and production capacity.
- Use Oracle MPS/MRP to review planning recommendations, manage exception messages, and ensure planned orders and work orders are released according to the approved production schedule.
- Monitor WIP, schedule adherence, production progress, and component availability; identify constraints, escalate risks early, and support recovery actions when performance falls behind plan.
- Partner with Operations, Materials, Purchasing, Engineering, Quality, Sales/Customer Service, and Finance to coordinate priorities, resolve issues, and support continuous improvement.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Industrial Engineering, Business, or a related field; equivalent relevant manufacturing experience may be considered.
- 3 to 5+ years of experience in manufacturing planning, production scheduling, material planning, supply chain, or a related function.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle MPS/MRP, Oracle Manufacturing, or a comparable ERP planning system.
- Demonstrated understanding of MPS, MRP, production planning, material requirements, capacity planning, and work-order management.
