Job Title: Operating Engineer
Location: Dallas, Texas (On-Site)
Job Summary: We are supporting a contract-only opportunity for an Operating Engineer supporting a major downtown Dallas facility. Our team is seeking a skilled professional who can help keep critical building systems operating safely, efficiently, and reliably through hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair work.
Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance, monitoring, repairs, and troubleshooting across mechanical, plumbing, structural, furniture, fire, life safety, and control systems.
- Support preventive maintenance, purchasing, inventory control, and contracted maintenance activities to help maintain facility operations.
- Inspect, clean, calibrate, and replace equipment parts to support optimal HVAC system performance and building reliability.
- Record equipment readings, make operational adjustments when needed, and maintain a safe, clean work environment while following safety procedures.
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 5-7 years of experience required.
- Experience maintaining and repairing commercial building systems.
- Ability to analyze commercial or industrial mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems, determine causes of malfunctions, and take corrective action.
- EPA 608 Type II Certification.
- Working knowledge of computer applications including Word and Excel.
