Job Title: Compound Manager
Location: Cambridge, Massachusetts (Hybrid)

Job Summary: We are partnering with a leading scientific organization seeking a Compound Manager to support discovery research operations through accurate compound registration, inventory control, and cross-functional coordination. This position plays a critical role in protecting sample integrity, improving data quality, and enabling efficient project execution across internal teams and external partners.

Responsibilities:

  • Register newly synthesized and externally sourced compounds in the electronic compound database and maintain complete, accurate metadata.
  • Manage inventory, distribution, and shipment workflows to ensure timely availability of research materials and compliant transfers.
  • Create and maintain SOPs, work instructions, and training materials while supporting investigations into inventory, labeling, shipping, or database discrepancies.
  • Partner with medicinal chemistry, biology, DMPK, analytical sciences, informatics, CROs, and vendors to support compound management workflows and continuous improvement.

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline; an M.S. or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in compound management, medicinal chemistry support, pharmaceutical research operations, or a related scientific environment.
  • Hands-on experience with compound registration platforms, electronic laboratory systems, and inventory management databases.
  • Experience working with external CROs, vendors, or compound logistics networks, along with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and database or inventory-tracking applications.
