Job Title: Facilities Technician 3
Location: Columbus, Ohio (On-Site)
Job Summary: We are partnering with a leading organization to hire a Facilities Technician 3 for a hands-on, technically demanding role supporting building operations and maintenance. This position is ideal for a candidate who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can help keep critical facility systems running safely, efficiently, and reliably.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor the facility to help ensure a safe, secure, and well-maintained environment.
- Troubleshoot HVAC systems, controls, mechanical systems, power, and general building equipment issues.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance across carpentry, plumbing, lighting, and other facility systems.
- Support daily operations by handling repairs, system start-up activities, vendor coordination, and miscellaneous facility tasks.
Required:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Two years of trades schooling in electrical system design, refrigeration, and HVAC.
- Universal Technician certification for CFCs.
- 4+ years of related work experience in a commercial, industrial, or manufacturing environment, with emphasis on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or general building maintenance.
- 2+ years using CMMS and PM software programs and Building Automation Systems (BAS), including monitoring and evaluating RTU performance.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, written work orders, sketches, blueprints, and technical manuals; strong communication and advanced troubleshooting skills; and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work at an accelerated pace in emergency conditions.
