Job Title: Hazmat Material Handling
Location: St. Paul, Minnesota (On-Site)
Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and safety-focused professional to support waste handling, shipping, and campus material movement for a high-activity laboratory environment. This role plays an important part in maintaining compliance, organizing daily operations, and helping ensure materials are processed and transported accurately and efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Process waste requests in the client’s waste stream profile system and maintain accurate tracking and compliance documentation.
- Transport 5-gallon and 55-gallon containers to centralized locations and designated 90-day hazardous waste storage rooms.
- Inspect, label, close, and palletize drums according to regulatory checklists and shipping preparation standards.
- Receive, sort, process, and distribute packages and pallets while preparing outbound shipments and operating campus vehicles safely.
Required:
- Valid Minnesota Driver’s License.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Experience in shipping/receiving, logistics coordination, or warehouse operations with attention to regulatory compliance.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. repeatedly and perform tasks involving lifting, bending, twisting, and extended periods of physical activity.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with proven customer service abilities, plus the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high accuracy.
