Job Title: Operating Engineer (HVAC)
Location: Mobile, Alabama (On-Site)
Job Summary: We are representing a company seeking an experienced HVAC professional to support industrial systems in a mission-critical environment. This position focuses on maintaining reliable performance across HVAC and environmental control equipment that is essential to operations, asset protection, and production continuity.
Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance, monitoring, troubleshooting, and repairs on industrial HVAC and environmental control systems.
- Support preventative and corrective maintenance activities, including inspecting, cleaning, calibrating, and replacing components.
- Monitor system performance, record operational readings, and make adjustments to maintain required operating standards.
- Read drawings, P&IDs, control schematics, and technical manuals to diagnose issues and support repairs.
Required:
- 6–8 years of experience maintaining and repairing industrial or commercial HVAC systems.
- Strong ability to analyze HVAC system operation, diagnose malfunctions, and implement corrective actions.
- Working knowledge of industrial HVAC systems and controls, chilled water, hot water, DX systems, and air distribution and pressurization systems.
- Experience supporting continuous-operation or mission-critical facilities.
- EPA 608 Type II Certification.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
