Job Title: Mechanical Engineer II
Location: Raleigh, North Carolina (Hybrid/ 3 days onsite)
Duration: 18 Months
Job Summary: We are presenting an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer II to contribute to the design, development, and implementation of mechanical systems and components. Our team is seeking a candidate who can bring strong engineering fundamentals, hands-on problem-solving, and collaborative energy to support innovation, optimization, and product development outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop mechanical components, systems, and assemblies using CAD software and engineering principles.
- Conduct engineering analyses, simulations, and tests to validate designs, ensure performance, and mitigate risks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet requirements and specifications.
- Support prototyping, testing, validation activities, and the design and fabrication of test fixtures and prototypes.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering or product design, with a focus on mechanical systems and components.
- Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD, and engineering analysis tools such as Finite Element Analysis.
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, including statics, dynamics, thermodynamics, and materials science.
- Experience with CAD drawings, assembly parts, and BOMs
- Familiarity working with PLM systems
- Strong experience with Creo / SolidWorks
- Some experience with plastic and sheet metal components
- Experience working with large assemblies using Creo is highly preferred
- Strong mechanical design and assembly experience
