Job Title: Engineer
Location: Thousand Oaks, California (On-Site)
Job Summary: We are partnering with this company to present an opportunity for an Engineer supporting packaging design, qualification, and implementation within a fast-moving technical environment. This role is well suited to candidates who enjoy cross-functional collaboration, technical problem solving, and contributing to packaging materials and validation activities that support both pre-commercial and commercial work.
Responsibilities:
- Support testing and evaluation activities to help recommend and select primary and secondary packaging materials.
- Write test protocols, perform technical evaluations, and support reporting used to justify selected materials and packaging components.
- Create technical specifications, engineering drawings, and artwork templates using applicable design software.
- Support line trials and packaging validation activities before the introduction of new or changed components and processes.
Required:
- Master degree, or Bachelor degree with 2 years of experience, or Associate degree with 6 years of experience, or high school diploma/GED with 8 years of experience.
- Experience in design and qualification, packaging engineering or a related discipline, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Experience with engineering software such as Illustrator or AutoCAD, or similar tools, to create, modify, and approve engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of primary and secondary packaging systems, material science, and material testing standards, requirements, and equipment.
