Job Title: Scientist
Location: South San Francisco, California (On-Site)
Job Summary: We are supporting an opportunity for a Scientist to join an R&D imaging and image analysis team focused on enabling quantitative cellular research across multiple therapeutic areas. Our team is looking for a collaborative experimental scientist who can contribute strong bench skills, support imaging-based assays, and help advance work tied to cell-cell interactions and immune synapse research.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain mammalian cell cultures and prepare cells and samples for imaging experiments.
- Develop, optimize, and execute image-based cellular assays, including co-culture and cell-cell interaction assays.
- Perform fluorescence microscopy, automated imaging experiments, and quantitative image analysis using available tools and workflows.
- Support collaborative research projects by documenting results, troubleshooting assay or sample-preparation issues, and helping maintain robust imaging workflows.
Required:
- Doctorate degree, or Masters degree and 2 years of experience, or Bachelors degree and 4 years of experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with mammalian cell culture and cell-based assays.
- Experience with fluorescence microscopy and quantitative image analysis.
- Experience with immunofluorescence staining, live-cell imaging, or other microscopy sample-preparation techniques.
