Backend Platform Engineer – Java / Data Platform
Location: New York, New York (Hybrid) – Onsite 2-3 days/week

We are looking for a Backend Platform Engineer to build and support large-scale backend services and data infrastructure.
What You’ll Do
- Build and maintain scalable backend services using Java.
- Develop platform infrastructure and tooling used by engineering teams.
- Build and improve data pipelines supporting large-scale data systems.
- Improve the reliability, scalability, and performance of critical platform services.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to improve platform capabilities and developer workflows.
Required Skills
- Large Enterprise Technology Company Experience – Experience supporting high-scale, business-critical systems.
- Backend Engineering / Java – Strong hands-on experience building scalable backend services using Java.
- Platform Engineering & Data Pipelines – Experience building platform services and a strong understanding of designing and building data pipelines.
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a focus on backend and/or platform engineering.
- Experience with large-scale distributed systems, scalability, reliability, and performance.
