Job Title: Operating Engineer
Location: Salt Lake City, Utah (On-Site)
Job Summary: We are seeking skilled talent for an Operating Engineer opportunity focused on hands-on maintenance and repair work across commercial building systems. This position supports the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of buildings and equipment while helping maintain high standards of service and performance.
Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative maintenance and repair service work on HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and other building systems.
- Support safe work practices by recognizing, assessing, and mitigating risk in energized work, at-height tasks, and confined spaces.
- Complete hands-on repairs and maintenance within commercial buildings and building systems using industry-standard tools and code-compliant methods.
- Evaluate equipment and systems, and assist with coaching, training, and support for Engineers and Maintenance Technicians when requested.
Required:
- 5-7 years of skilled trades experience.
- EPA 608 Universal Certification.
- Ability to analyze commercial or industrial mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems, identify issues, and take corrective action.
- Ability to use computers and programs including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
