Job Title: Senior Data Engineer
Location: Waltham, Massachusetts (On-Site)
Job Summary: We are seeking a collaborative data engineering professional to help design and deliver scalable solutions for a large-volume enterprise environment. This role will support a major IT initiative focused on improving how employees serve customers today while helping create the platform for future growth.
Responsibilities:
- Perform and collaborate on system designs, data solution development, and data migration efforts across multiple legacy systems.
- Update data mappings and data catalogs, and participate in data profiling and synchronization process design.
- Contribute to design and pre-deployment reviews, go-live preparation, QA, dress rehearsals, issue remediation, cutover, and aftercare activities.
- Support data standards, data modeling, governance, and continuous improvement efforts across cross-functional teams.
Required:
- 3+ years of experience in database development, including Snowflake, SQL Server, Oracle, or similar platforms.
- Experience in data mapping, data modeling, and working with teams to define data models.
- Experience working in a dynamic environment and with cross-functional teams, subject matter experts, and architects.
- Experience with cloud database architecture is a plus, along with Snowflake, Matillion, real-time data loads, Agile/Lean practices, and SaaS solutions such as Salesforce, ESRI, and Workforce.
