Job Title: Production Control Specialist – A Shift
Location: Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, Florida (On-Site)
Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented professional to support backlog burn-down, expedite efforts, and work-order clean-up within a fast-paced production environment. Our team is representing an opportunity where the successful applicant will help maintain schedule execution, improve data integrity, and keep work moving across shifts and work centers.
Responsibilities:
- Drive down the work-order backlog by dispositioning idle and no-need-date orders, resolving kitted-but-stalled parts, and closing out orders.
- Support targeted expedite efforts by identifying material, kit, and blocker issues across service centers and integrated areas to help prevent schedule slip.
- Provide off-nominal shift coverage support as needed, handling routine escalations and keeping work in process moving when coverage is thin.
- Communicate daily status updates on backlog burn-down, expedite jobs in flight, and shift hand-offs while flagging recurring blockers to leadership.
Required:
- Experience with schedule management, expediting, or backlog/data clean-up in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Hands-on experience with ERP/MRP systems such as SAP, Costpoint, or similar, with comfort working directly in the data.
- Ability to work independently on a defined backlog with minimal ramp-up in a high-tempo, high-ambiguity environment.
- Willingness and availability to support off-nominal shifts, including B/C/D coverage, as needed.
- Experience in production control.
