Job Title: Operating Engineer
Location: Cleveland, Ohio (On-Site)
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled professional to support the safe and efficient operation of critical building systems and equipment. This position plays an important role in maintaining reliable daily operations, responding to work orders, and helping ensure a clean and safe environment.
Responsibilities:
- Operate building systems through BAS and FAS, including chiller plant operations.
- Perform preventative maintenance to minimize disruption to building services and support equipment reliability.
- Respond to and complete work orders, assist with daily building operations, and help maintain inventory of tools and supplies.
- Carry out repair, maintenance, and installation tasks while following safety procedures and departmental policies for hazardous materials.
Required:
- High school diploma required.
- Two years of trades schooling in electrical system design, refrigeration, and HVAC required.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in facility/plant engineering maintenance required.
- At least 4 years of experience as a journeyman level engineer with strong skills in building automation systems, life safety systems, and Microsoft Office applications required.
- Experience with HVAC, fluid handling/pumping, fluid filtering, mechanical systems, welding, and electrical systems engineering and operation required.
- Boilers license preferred and Universal HVAC License required.
