Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic
Location: Lansing, Michigan (On-Site)
Job Summary: We are recruiting for a Maintenance Mechanic opportunity supporting a facility environment with a wide range of hands-on maintenance duties. Our team is looking to connect qualified candidates with a role that supports building operations, equipment reliability, and a safe, well-maintained workplace.
Responsibilities:
- Perform electrical and mechanical support for assigned buildings, including troubleshooting and maintenance of building systems and equipment.
- Carry out preventive maintenance, emergency response tasks, and general repair work across mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and control-related systems.
- Complete general maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs and ballasts, painting, patching sheetrock, locksmith work, and tenant service requests.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, support hazardous material handling procedures, and keep accurate records of completed work.
Required:
- Experience providing electrical and mechanical support in a building or facilities environment.
- Ability to work with 50V or less and 480V medium voltage power.
- Experience with HVAC systems and controls, mechanical troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, emergency response, general maintenance, carpentry, painting, sheetrock patching, plumbing, and vendor management.
- Ability to work the scheduled shift: Tuesday through Saturday, with 3rd shift hours around 10:30 PM to 7:00 AM.
