Job Title: Buyer
Location: Kent, Washington (On-Site)
Job Summary: We are working with a hiring team seeking a Buyer to support procurement activities that keep programs moving efficiently and compliantly. Our team is helping present an opportunity for a Buyer who can prioritize requests, manage supplier communication, and support sourcing efforts from requisition through final invoice payment.
Responsibilities:
- Support procurement activities from requisition creation through final payment of invoices.
- Prepare and issue Requests for Proposal and Requests for Quote, including support for cost analysis and proposal work.
- Manage supplier communication, track bid status, and help expedite PR clean-up and schedule risk mitigation.
- Contribute to compliant procurement processes, supplier management, and process improvements that support program and supply chain goals.
Required:
- Minimum 5 years of buying experience in Aerospace or Defense procurement or contract management.
- Experience with machined parts or avionics.
- Knowledge of engineering data such as specifications and source control drawings, along with working understanding of AS9100 standards.
- Ability to interpret and apply company policies, procedures, work instructions, business standards, and U.S. government regulations, including FAR, DFAR, and SOX compliance.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines, multi-task, and prioritize workload.
