Job Title: Buyer
Location: El Segundo, California (On-Site)
Job Summary: We are supporting a search for a Buyer to help drive procurement activities across direct materials and services in a fast-paced aerospace environment. This opportunity offers the chance to contribute to sourcing, supplier management, and cost-effective purchasing for a wide range of standard and specialized materials.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the full procurement lifecycle for direct categories, including standard commercial off-the-shelf products, discrete electronic components, and aerospace-related materials and services.
- Process requisitions into purchase orders while following company policies and procurement procedures.
- Issue RFQs and RFPs, evaluate supplier responses, and support competitive bid analysis to help identify the best value.
- Maintain supplier relationships after award, monitor commitment schedules, support on-time delivery, and resolve issues such as quality concerns, delivery delays, and invoice discrepancies.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of procurement or purchasing experience, preferably in a direct buying capacity.
- Demonstrated experience procuring COTS products and electronics hardware.
- Strong negotiation and supplier management skills, with experience using ERP/procurement systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Coupa.
- Experience in aerospace, defense, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments is preferred.
- Familiarity with aerospace quality standards and procurement compliance requirements is preferred.
- Understanding of the Coupa and Costpoint ERP systems is preferred.
