Job Title: Buyer

Job Summary: We are recruiting for a Buyer opportunity with a company that is seeking a highly organized procurement professional to help manage supplier follow-up, resolve overdue purchase orders, and support timely delivery performance. Our team is looking for someone who can keep daily procurement activity moving, maintain accurate records, and help drive measurable improvements across supplier management and purchase order execution.
Responsibilities:
- Drive down overdue purchase orders through daily follow-up, escalation, and root-cause resolution.
- Improve supplier on-time delivery performance by identifying chronic issues and supporting corrective action plans.
- Secure timely PO acknowledgement and manage procurement activity from requisition creation through final invoice payment.
- Track daily metrics, support supplier negotiations, and maintain accurate procurement documentation and records.
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 4-5 years of experience in procurement or purchasing, specifically in Supply Chain Services Procurement.
- Experience in strategic sourcing, supplier identification, and supplier evaluation across multiple service categories.
- Strong analytical skills with a data-driven mindset, plus experience establishing and tracking program metrics such as overdue POs, PO acknowledgement rate, OTD, cycle time, and cost savings.
- Ability to perform written price reasonableness determinations and price analyses using various pricing methods and data sources.
- Experience applying company policies, procedures, work instructions, business standards, and U.S. government regulations, including FAR and DFAR compliance.
- Preferred experience in aerospace or other technical industries and with Government Contracts.
