Job Title: Senior Civil Engineering Technician
Location: Overland Park, Kansas (On-Site)
Job Summary: We are supporting the search for a Senior Civil Engineering Technician to contribute to complex infrastructure design efforts within multidisciplinary project teams. This opportunity offers the chance to help develop high-quality civil engineering deliverables for site development, grading and drainage, erosion control, roadways, fencing, and underground utilities using established design tools and standards.
Responsibilities:
- Establish and communicate appropriate design and graphic standards while reviewing project requirements for correct formats and deliverable content.
- Apply engineering principles and established design practices to complex assignments, including site plans, grading designs, and utility layouts.
- Review design inputs and deliverables for consistency, quality, accuracy, and compliance with applicable codes and standards.
- Coordinate with other design groups, support production efforts, and provide guidance, training, and oversight to other technicians as needed.
Required:
- Associate Degree in Drafting or an Engineering Design Related Technology required; Bachelor Degree in an Engineering Design Related Technology preferred.
- Minimum of 11 years of related work experience.
- Advanced knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices, with experience creating and modifying site plans, grading designs, and utility layouts.
- Experience using Autodesk AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Bentley MicroStation.
