Job Title: Project Engineer
Location: Horseheads, New York (On-Site)
Job Summary: We are recruiting on behalf of this company for a Project Engineer opportunity supporting capital project execution at a manufacturing site. Our team is seeking candidates who can help coordinate infrastructure-related work, support drawing updates, and contribute to the safe and efficient delivery of projects during a defined assignment period.
Responsibilities:
- Support capital project execution through scope development, layout reviews, and implementation activities.
- Develop, review, and update drawings using AutoCAD to support project planning and execution.
- Assist with coordination across mechanical, electrical, and plumbing disciplines related to plant infrastructure systems.
- Participate in site walks, equipment layouts, installation planning, documentation, tracking, and progress reporting.
- Manage moving pieces, contractors, and shop floor layouts using AutoCAD, as well as coordinate work permits, safety equipment, and equipment placement
- Assists with executing the project from start to finish, planning structural and electrical contractors, and managing shop floor layouts and flow optimization.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, such as Industrial, Mechanical, Civil, or a related discipline.
- Working knowledge of plant infrastructure systems, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Previous experience supporting capital projects in a manufacturing or plant environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with industrial safety standards and project execution practices is preferred.
