Job Title: HVAC Technician
Location: Indianapolis, Indiana (On-Site)
Job Summary: We are recruiting for a hands-on HVAC Technician opportunity supporting a facility environment where reliable system performance is essential. Our team is seeking a professional who can help maintain HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems while supporting safe and efficient daily operations.
Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive maintenance and respond to repair work orders for facility mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems.
- Maintain, operate, and repair HVAC equipment including packaged units, chillers, boilers, air handlers, and related building components.
- Monitor building automation systems, fire/life safety systems, and other building equipment to help identify issues and support performance.
- Troubleshoot system problems, complete facility inspections, and carry out interior, exterior, and grounds-related repairs as needed.
Required:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent, plus technical training or a degree in HVAC, mechanical systems, or a related field.
- Universal EPA/CFC license for refrigerant handling.
- Minimum four years of technical experience in building engineering with a strong background in packaged HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and equipment repair and maintenance.
- Knowledge of HVAC system design, applications, and building automation systems.
- Ability to work a 2nd shift schedule Monday-Friday with occasional weekend work as needed, plus the physical capability to lift up to 80 lbs., climb ladders, work overhead, and perform frequent bending, kneeling, and stooping.
- Valid driver’s license with the ability to drive for extended periods.
- Preferred: Two years of trade school education or a documented apprenticeship in electrical systems, refrigeration and HVAC, plumbing, or another craft skill; experience with building automation systems such as Tridium, Johnson Controls, or Siemens; familiarity with fire/life safety systems and code compliance; experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare, or mission-critical facility environments; OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
