Job Title: Associate Engineering Technician
Location: Overland Park, Kansas (On-Site)
Job Summary: We are seeking an Associate Engineering Technician to support civil engineering design work for large-scale renewable energy projects. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to site development deliverables, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and help produce accurate, high-quality technical documents and drawings.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and modify site plans, grading designs, and utility layouts using industry-standard design tools.
- Support the development of civil engineering deliverables for large-scale utility projects.
- Perform basic computations, including material quantity estimates and dimensional checks.
- Coordinate deliverables with other project groups and support document control, quality, and continuous improvement efforts.
Required:
- Diploma or Certificate required; Associate Degree in Drafting or an Engineering Design Related Technology preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of related work experience.
- Ability to work under close supervision and support engineering teams under general supervision.
- Experience using digital design tools and software such as CAD, BIM, and 3D modeling.
- Must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements, which may include a criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
