Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Location: Lafayette, Indiana (On-Site)
Job Summary: We are supporting the search for a Maintenance Technician opportunity based in Lafayette, Indiana. This position offers the chance to contribute to the upkeep, repair, and safe operation of facility systems and equipment in a hands-on environment.
Responsibilities:
- Support the operations team with maintenance and repair of building systems and equipment.
- Perform general interior maintenance, including HVAC/R coil cleaning, evaporator coil cleaning, and kitchen equipment upkeep.
- Handle minor plumbing repairs, lighting system bulb and ballast replacement, painting, locksmith work, tenant service requests, and other assigned maintenance tasks.
- Follow safety procedures, maintain housekeeping standards, document work performance and materials procurement, and remain available for after-hours emergency call support.
Required:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Valid state driver’s license is required and must be maintained.
- At least one year of applicable working experience in general building repair and maintenance, basic plumbing, and basic electrical is required.
- Must have the ability to lift a minimum of 80 lbs., use ladders up to 30 ft, possess mechanical and electrical aptitude, and pass background, drug/alcohol, and MVR screening.
- Completion of an applicable technical training program is desirable.
- Ability to comply with both Jones Lang LaSalle and client-directed policies and procedures is preferred, along with a self-motivated approach to working independently or in a team environment. UST Class B Certification is also preferred.
