Job Title: Mechanical Technician
Location: Andover, Massachusetts (On-Site)
Job Summary: We are supporting an opportunity for a Mechanical Technician focused on the reliable operation of a central energy plant environment. Our team is looking for a candidate who can help maintain critical equipment, support safe day-to-day operations, and contribute to consistent uptime and plant performance.
Responsibilities:
- Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain boilers, steam turbine centrifugal chillers, and related plant equipment in line with applicable requirements.
- Monitor control room and building automation systems, respond to alarm conditions, and document activity, incidents, and equipment issues accurately.
- Perform water testing and treatment, maintain fuel storage logs, and support compliance with site procedures, permits, and regulations.
- Review operating procedures, read manuals and schematics, assist craft technicians as needed, and support the CEP Chief Engineer and operations team.
Required:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Licensed operator with a 3rd Class engineer license and less than a 2nd Class Engineer's license for Operator B consideration, or a 2nd Class Engineer's license for Operator A and Senior Operator consideration.
- Ability to verify DFS licenses, permits, or certifications on the Massachusetts DFS website.
- For Operator B, making progress toward a 2nd Class Engineer's License on a schedule mutually agreeable between the employee and the company.
- For Operator A, fewer than 10 years of prior experience in a plant similar to the Pfizer plant.
- For Senior Operator, 10 or more years of prior experience in a plant similar to the Pfizer plant.
- Demonstrated technical expertise in energy plant related systems, working knowledge of Microsoft Office and CMMS systems, and strong verbal and written communication skills.
