Job Title: Chief Engineer
Location: New Orleans, Louisiana (On-Site)
Job Summary: We are seeking a confident engineering leader to oversee the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of building systems in a Class A office environment. This opportunity offers the chance to guide a team, support client-facing operations, and help drive preventive maintenance and capital planning across a busy property.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the maintenance and continuous operation of all building systems and equipment.
- Supervise, manage, train, and coach engineers and maintenance staff, including supporting hiring and development.
- Create and maintain preventive, predictive, and reactive maintenance plans, while responding to emergencies and service calls.
- Lead budget planning, contractor oversight, technical training, and ongoing communication with the property team and client.
Required:
- 7+ years of related experience, especially in a Chief Engineer, Assistant Chief Engineer, or similar capacity.
- People management experience, including leading a team and managing staff performance.
- Trade school education, union training, military service, or college experience is desirable.
- Universal CFC EPA certification is required; EPA Universal is nice to have, but must be obtained within 90 days of employment.
- Stationary operating license is needed.
- Experience using Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and Teams; ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work safely with ladders up to 30 feet.
- Ability to frequently climb, bend, kneel, lift, and/or drive, along with strong customer service, communication skills, and a valid driver license.
