Job Title: Scientist
Location: Thousand Oaks, California (On-Site)
Job Summary: We are representing a company seeking a Scientist to support highly specialized research activities within a bench-focused environment. Our team is looking for someone who can independently plan, execute, troubleshoot, and interpret experiments that support ongoing scientific projects and experimental innovation.
Responsibilities:
- Design and execute experiments supporting AAV and lentiviral vector production, optimization, and characterization for research applications.
- Generate and validate DNA constructs while performing mammalian cell culture, viral vector production, purification, and characterization.
- Carry out in vitro functional assays, process mouse tissue samples, and isolate and prepare RNA for downstream molecular analysis.
- Analyze experimental data, troubleshoot technical challenges, propose follow-up experiments, and maintain accurate laboratory documentation.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree with 4 years of experience, Master’s degree with 2 years of experience, or a Doctorate degree.
- Strong hands-on experience with sterile mammalian cell culture, molecular cloning, DNA construct design, and validation.
- Experience with AAV and/or lentiviral vector design, production, purification, and characterization is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated experience with in vitro assays, tissue sample processing, RNA preparation, data analysis, troubleshooting, and experimental problem-solving.
