Job Title: Test Equipment Technician
Location: Grand Rapids, Michigan (On-Site)
Job Summary: We are recruiting for a Test Equipment Technician opportunity that supports the maintenance, repair, and verification of production and laboratory test equipment. This position plays an important part in keeping testing processes accurate, reliable, and aligned with engineering requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain production and laboratory test equipment, including vibration systems and environmental test chambers.
- Conduct development and qualification testing in accordance with engineering test requests, drawings, blueprints, and procedures.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues, perform basic repairs, and support verification of test equipment.
- Collect, analyze, and record test data and prepare test reports while following safety practices and lockout/tagout requirements.
Required:
- Associate degree in a technical field with 1 year of experience in a technical field, or a high school diploma/GED with 3 years of experience in a technical field.
- High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow product specifications, drawings, and work orders in English.
- Knowledge of industry-specific tests and testing equipment, troubleshooting test failures, dynamic electro-mechanical systems, mechanical power train devices, electronics, and basics of programming.
- Ability to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and in the future; candidates must also be within 50 miles of Grand Rapids, MI, unless exempt as an active duty military service member candidate.
- Preferred: Knowledge of LabVIEW.
