Job Title: Associate Engineering Technician
Location: Overland Park, Kansas (On-Site)
Job Summary: We are supporting an opportunity for an engineering-focused professional to contribute to high-quality technical deliverables for complex substation projects. We are looking for someone who can work closely with multidisciplinary teams to produce accurate drawings, maintain documentation, and support ongoing design development.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and update electrical design drawings and technical deliverables using industry standard design tools.
- Support engineering teams by creating 2D and 3D deliverables for substation-related infrastructure projects.
- Perform basic computations, including material quantity estimates and dimensional checks.
- Coordinate deliverables with other project groups, apply quality standards, and support continuous improvement efforts.
Required:
- Diploma or Certificate required; Associate Degree in Drafting or an Engineering Design related technology preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of related work experience.
- Ability to use digital tools and design software, including CAD, BIM, and 3D modeling tools; experience with Autodesk Autocad and Bentley Microstation is stated in the job description.
- Must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements, which may include criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
