Job Title: Operating Engineer
Location: Yuma, Arizona (On-Site)
Job Summary: We are partnering with a leading organization to support the search for an experienced Operating Engineer to help keep critical facility systems running safely and efficiently. This role plays a key part in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing building equipment across mechanical, plumbing, structural, fire, life safety, and control systems.
Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance, monitoring, repairs, and troubleshooting across facility systems and building equipment.
- Support preventive maintenance, purchasing, inventory control, and contracted maintenance activities.
- Inspect, clean, calibrate, and replace parts to help maintain HVAC systems and associated equipment at peak performance.
- Follow safety procedures, maintain a clean and safe work area, and identify hazards with methods to reduce risk.
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- 10+ years of experience maintaining and repairing commercial building systems is required.
- Ability to analyze Commercial or Industrial Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and HVAC systems and take corrective action is required.
- EPA 608 Type II Certification is required; EPA 608 Universal Certification is preferred.
- Working knowledge of computer applications including Word and Excel is required.
- Two years of trades schooling in electrical system design, refrigeration, and HVAC is preferred.
- A Professional Engineer (P.Eng) license is not required for consideration.
